Our Parks on the Big Screen

Cut the Deck Creative Presents:
Our Parks on the Big Screen
A film showcase and fundraiser about our wonderful – and sometimes worrying world.
July 14 @ 7:00 pm
Join us for the premiere of The Park People, a proof-of-concept comedy short about activism and community being turned into a feature film right here in Madison!
Filmed at BB Clarke Beach Park, The Park People is a rom-com, buddy movie, and political satire all in one. After their local park is unexpectedly shut down, a group of neighbors come together and do everything they can to try and save it.
We’ll be screening a variety of short films, all related to the power of parks and our wonderful – but sometimes worrying – world.

Movies (And their parks!):
Trailing Off
(Governor Dodge State Park)
A Wilderness Act
(Red Pine Forests & The Boundary Waters)
Augmentation
(Devil’s Lake State Park & Kilbourn Reservoir Park)
The Forest of Dreams
(UW-Madison Arboretum)
Weathering the Change
(Rush Creek Natural Area)
And the Premiere of:
The Park People – Short Film
(BB Clarke Beach Park)
This is a FREE, pay-what-you-can event, with proceeds and donations going towards the feature production of The Park People!
Come watch some impactful movies and learn more about this grass-roots film happening in the Madison Community this year!
