In collaboration with the DB Orchestra\, a 17-piece big band loaded with trumpets\, trombones\, and saxophones plus percussion and sousaphone\, Wurk will be presenting the WURKestra for a limited run of concerts in the fall. The first event will be hosted in Madison at the historic Barrymore Theatre on Friday\, October 16th. \n\n\n\nVoted the 2019 and 2022 MAMA Artist of the Year by Madison music lovers\, Wurk is known for their wide range of influences including funk\, progressive rock\, pop and jam band. The DB Orchestra has similarly been blending genres such as jazz swing\, doo-wop\, Dixieland and rock ‘n’ roll for over a decade. Daniel Haschke\, saxophonist and member of both groups\, noticed how both projects took an innovative approach to arranging music and decided there was something special to be explored. “I’ve always been inspired by unique musical collaborations\,” Haschke reflects\, “especially when popular artists work with big orchestras. I realized that all of the pieces were in place for me and my bandmates to craft a truly one-of-a-kind experience.” \n\n\n\nThe full WURKestra presentation will debut on Friday\, October 16th\, 2026 at the Barrymore Theatre\, then tour the following weekend to venues in Milwaukee and Appleton. Concertgoers can expect over two hours of bold and brassy interpretations of Wurk originals\, innovative reimaginings of popular covers\, and pieces original to the WURKestra. Tickets are $25 in advance or $35 day of show. Doors open at 7pm and the show begins promptly at 8pm at the Barrymore Theatre. \n\n\n\nWurk is a 6-piece funk-fusion group which formed in Madison\, WI in 2016. Inspired by Umphrey’s McGee\, Snarky Puppy\, Lettuce\, Phish and many others\, their innovative original songs and ambitious interpretations of popular covers offer an impressive blend of jazz fusion\, prog rock\, jam rock and more\, all with the consistent underlying grooves of funk. The DB Orchestra\, led by Andy Kerber\, combines the nuanced harmonies of a doo-wop group\, the intensity of a marching band\, and the flair of great jazz ensembles of yesteryear. With a roster of nearly 20 musicians\, the hot horns\, smooth saxes\, and driving drums of the DB Orchestra will keep your head humming and toes tapping long after the show’s over.

But\, with talent like that\, Craig and Sam’s chill skiing ends up being pretty epic anyway. \n\n\n\n\n\nPemberton\, Canada \n\n\n\n\nAthlete(s): Court “Blackbird” Larabee\, Mason Mashon\n\n\n\n\nCourt “Blackbird” Larabee spends all of his time helping indigenous youth from his community get on the hill\, so in an attempt to spread the day-off love\, Katie asks him his dream day off\, and with the help of Mason Mashon\, she delivers. We learn about Court’s infectious laugh\, the simple love of riding for yourself when riding is your job\, and that no one calls it “Snowmobile Assisted Snowboarding.” \n\n\n\n\n\nWhistler\, BC \n\n\n\n\nAthlete(s): Craig McMorris\, Sebastian Judge\, Mark Sollors\, Truth Smith\n\n\n\n\nWe meet Craig McMorris earlier in the film on set presenting for the Winter Olympics\, but it isn’t until that spring that Katie is able to track the multi-hyphenate McMorris back to his home turf for a day off. The problem is Craig has a very different idea of what that is. Beginning with a contentious hockey game\, Katie then rides the park with Craig and his friends\, ending the day on a backcountry booter\, and the revelation that days off are subjective\, but the most important part of them is who you spend them with.

Griffin and Drummond comprised the core of the band at its onset as they hit the road and won over one fan at a time beginning in 1989. This fan base would go on to be known as “Ezralites” by the time the first pressing of Deluxelanded independently in 1993. As the audience dramatically grew\, Elektra signed the boys in 1995 and officially released Deluxe. A fixture on radio and MTV\, “Good” captured #1 on the Hot Modern Rock Tracks Chart and went multi-platinum. 1996’s Friction\, Baby yielded definitive anthems such as “Desperately Wanting” and “King Of New Orleans.” A string of fan favorite albums followed\, including How Does Your Garden Grow? [1998] and Closer [2001]. \n\n\n\n2005’s Before The Robots represented another creative high. Its lead single “A Lifetime” peaked in the Top 15 of the Billboard Adult Top 40 chart as “Juicy” went on to famously soundtrack a Desperate Housewives campaign. Paper Empire followed in 2009 and then the band released their album\, All Together Now\, in 2014. Produced by Tony Hoffer [M83\, Beck\,] it spawned the hit “Crazy Lucky\,” which notched 10 million-plus streams. Most recently in 2024\, the band released their long anticipated tenth studio album\, Super Magick. \n\n\n\nAt the same time\, their touring presence burgeoned year after year as Better Than Ezra continue to sell out amphitheaters and arenas worldwide. A force of nature on stage\, the group consistently deliver on tour as countless fans sing along to every word nightly. Their gigs further uphold a growing legend. \n\n\n\nOutside of Better Than Ezra\, Griffin established himself as a sought-after hitmaking songwriter\, having songs recorded by the likes of Taylor Swift and Train. He also penned #1 hits for Howie Day and Sugarland in addition to writing with The Struts and Moon Taxi. His most recent\, “MARC MARON: PANICKED” premiered on HBO in August 2025\, which received a WGA nomination\, notably the only stand-up special to be nominated in the category. Prior\, “FROM BLEAK TO DARK”\, also on HBO\, premiered in 2023\, earning him a WGA nomination. Maron’s other specials include “END TIMES FUN” (2020) on Netflix\, which was nominated for a 2021 Critics Choice Award\, “MARC MARON: TOO REAL”(2017)\, “MORE LATER” (2015) on Epix\, and “THINKY PAIN” (2013).  \n\n\n\nMaron has a peerless reputation in the podcasting world through his landmark podcast “WTF with Marc Maron.” Launched in 2009\, this interview-style podcast receives over 50 million listens every year and has become a phenomenon in the podcasting space\, with over 1600 episodes recorded to date. Over the years\, Marc has interviewed icons such as US President Barack Obama\, Keith Richards\, Carol Burnett\, and Robin Williams. In 2023\, Maron’s show became the first one-on-one podcast episode (Episode 67 – Robin Williams) inducted into America’s National Recording Registry. The podcast came to an end after 16 years this past fall.  \n\n\n\nMaron starred in the Netflix series “GLOW\,” for which he received a Critic’s Choice Award  \n\n\n\nNomination and SAG Award nomination\, as well as the scripted series “MARON\,” which aired for four seasons on IFC. It’s just the two of them this time\, and as such\, Oh Brother marks a distinctive new chapter for the California rock band — one that is both introspective and accessible\, all while maintaining their beloved sense of sincerity. Oh Brother steers Dawes decidedly forward\, honoring 15 years of Taylor and Griffin’s musical relationship\, as well as the next era of their band. Centered around the reflective songwriting of vocalist/guitarist Erik Kjelland and brought vividly to life by the dynamic interplay of Cory Swadley (lead guitar)\, Nick Fry (bass)\, and Paul Metz (drums)\, the band creates music that feels both deeply personal and universally resonant. Their chemistry fuels a live energy that’s intimate\, explosive\, and always evolving. Whether on stage or in the studio\, The Mascot Theory crafts songs anchored in melody\, driven by heart\, and wide open to the unknown. Their newest album\, Cosmic Hit And Run\, was written in the shadow of loss and mortality. In the midst of grieving his father’s passing\, Kjelland was diagnosed with a rare and potentially fatal brain condition that required invasive surgery. Unsure what would remain on the other side—memory\, speech\, music itself—he wrote through the fear\, the waiting\, and the aftermath. The result is a deeply cinematic collection of songs shaped by survival\, perspective\, and the fragile beauty of still being here. \n\n\n\nBeth Kille BandAt first glance\, you may not know what to make of them. The farm boy\, the intellectual\, the ex-Marine\, all backing up a wild-haired\, acrobat. But then\, the show begins\, and you know you’re about to be wrapped in the arms of a cohesive unit\, bonded in the kinship of music. The four members of the Beth Kille Band – Michael Mood (bass\, backing vocals)\, Tony Kille (drums)\, Michael Tully (guitar\, backing vocals) and Kille herself (guitar\, mandolin\, vocals) – have amassed some impressive accolades. In addition to the numerous songwriting recognitions\, Kille grabbed one of her 30 Madison Area Music Association (MAMA) Awards when she was named “Artist of the Year” in 2010 and Tully snagged the highly-competitive “Guitarist of the Year” Award in 2014. Their style can best be described as Americana-Rock but these dynamic performers can play everything from folk to funk to in-your-face rock. \n\n\n\nTAE & The Neighborly (DUO)Tae & The Neighborly\, a Wisconsin based Soul-pop R&B group\, found themselves playing music together in a very unconventional way. They were all neighbors\, each one living alone on one floor of a five-story flat. Cake baking is a shared passion of the five member group\, but in the sugar shortages early in the 2020 pandemic\, they found themselves so continually knocking on each other’s doors asking for a single cup of sugar that a group decision was made to all move in together and share cake-baking resources. And since everyone knows all good rhythms begin in the kitchen\, it wasn’t before long that the group began to write and perform together  across the nation. Critics hail the group as “having more kick than a bagged-up mule” (Rotary Times)  and their live show “…going down smoother than a can of [beans] warmed on the campfire” (Cowboy Gazette). All in all\, if you are looking for a dense show that will give you more inspiration fuel for self lovin’\, world changin’\, and consideration havin’ meet them where the music is made to be shared.

As a teenager\, he earned a reputation as a highly sought after sideman and session player\, and by his early twenties\, Emmanuel was playing on chart-topping hits and performing with acts like Air Supply and Men at Work.
