Billy Idol and Steve Stevens, one of rock’s most iconic and enduring collaborations, will return to the American Midwest in November and December 2021 to perform four very special concerts as an acoustic duo.

The short tour hits Madison’s The Barrymore Theatre on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 8pm, presented by 105.5 Triple M.

Idol and Stevens are celebrating the release of The Roadside EP, Billy Idol’s first new release in seven years, featuring the hit single “Bitter Taste.”

These upcoming performances are the first Idol/Stevens duo shows since the pair’s acclaimed 2019 North American duo tour, which found the longtime friends and collaborators performing their hits, deeper album cuts and songs that influenced them in a new and intimate setting, colored by in-between song stories and banter from Billy Idol.

Idol and Stevens’ undeniable chemistry and seemingly limitless energy, founded on a mutual love of all things rock n’ roll, has produced decades of successful tours and iconic hits including Rebel Yell, White Wedding, Dancing With Myself, Eyes Without A Face, Flesh For Fantasy, Cradle Of Love and more.

Watch Idol and Stevens perform a recent duo set in August of 2021 for WXPN’s Free at Noon series.

ABOUT BILLY IDOL AND STEVE STEVENS:

For forty-five years, Billy Idol has been one of the faces and voices of rock’n’roll, with an artistic resume to match the brilliant light of the image. First as the camera-ready front man for Generation X, between 1977 and 1981, Billy emerged with three albums that made positivity, emotional depth, and high pop synonymous with punk rock. In 1982, Billy embarked on a remarkable transatlantic/transgenre solo career that integrated clubland throb, wide-screen depth and drama, rockabilly desperation, the bold and simple lines of punk, and rock’n’roll decadence.

Decades after releasing his first 45, Billy Idol still makes gliding, thumping, cinematic songs about sin, redemption and the love of rock’n’roll…and that’s what you will find on The Roadside, Billy Idol’s first release of original material in seven years. Produced by Butch Walker (Green Day, Weezer, amongst many others), The Roadside takes Billy Idol into new but familiar waters full of color, power, atmosphere, attitude, and mystery. On The Roadside Billy Idol is joined by his friend and collaborator since 1981, guitarist and co-songwriter Steve Stevens. For 40 years – 40 years! – Steve has been Billy Idol’s sonic assassin and master blender of tones and textures, the thinking man’s shredder and the shredding man’s Picasso.
